Nech Azmud (ነጭ አዝሙድ)

Nech azmud (ነጭ አዝሙድ) is ajwain seed, also called carom seed. The name means "white cumin", but it is a different spice from cumin. It has a strong aroma close to thyme and is used across everyday Ethiopian cooking.
