FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Shipping & Delivery
Will my Injera arrive fresh?
Yes. Our injera has a shelf life of up to 10 days, and we ship to every province well within that window. Estimated delivery times: Ontario 1–2 business days, Quebec 2–3 days, Alberta & BC 2–4 days, Manitoba & Saskatchewan 3–4 days, Atlantic provinces 3–4 days. Toronto customers can select same-day delivery at checkout.
How is the injera packaged for shipping?
Our injera is carefully packaged to survive transit and arrive in the same condition it left us. It doesn’t require refrigeration during shipping.
Do you ship across all of Canada?
Yes. We ship to all provinces. Enter your postal code at checkout to see your delivery options and estimated arrival date.
Products
Where do your spices come from?
Our berbere, mitmita, shiro, beso, and genfo are all made from Ethiopian-sourced spices and grains using our family recipe. No fillers, no artificial ingredients.
What about the Clarified Butter (Niter Kibbeh)?
We source the freshest local Ontario dairy — importing butter into Canada isn’t permitted — and make it the traditional Ethiopian way, slow-cooked with authentic Ethiopian spices. The result is genuine niter kibbeh made right here in Canada.
Do I need to refrigerate anything?
Our spices and niter kibbeh are shelf stable — store them in a cool, dry place. Refrigerate the niter kibbeh after opening for extended freshness. Injera should be kept sealed and consumed within its shelf life window.
Are your products Halal?
We don’t sell meat products. Our spices, injera, and dairy-based products don’t require Halal certification.
